Simply HDR App Reviews

Yowsa!

As opposed to most of the JixiPix apps Ive played with, which change a photograph into a painting, this software makes the photograph "hyper-photographic", making your image startlingly more real-life. You can play with the settings, though, to make the result more surrealistic by playing with color settings, etc. Very cool results. Im very pleased with this product and have no complaints. There are a bunch of presets to choose from, as well as the ability to use sliders to fine-tune the result. Be aware that when you want to save your image, it will take a couple of moments and the resulting file size will be significantly larger than the image you started with.

Not HDR Software

This software simply puts effects on a single photo to imitate the HDR look. It does not load multiple bracketed photos for true HDR.

Love

This app does require a good image to begin with. And with that right image it does some incredible things. Very impressive to say the least. It is not a multi-bracketed HDR app, do not plan on loading in 3 photos. But on most of my images you cannot tell that this is not the case. Use it for those cases where you didn’t/couldn’t do 3 bracketed shots. I would classify this as an artistic app more than photography but isn’t everything blending these days?

Dont Buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waist of money!! I want my money back!!!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS APP IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT MAKING HDR PHOTOS!

This app is total BS!!! It should be called tone mapper or something less misleading. Being that there isn’t even an option to merge 3 bracketed photos negates any claim of being an HDR program. Don’t waste your money on this app. There are many free apps that will do exaclty the same thing, probably better! For an image to be HDR, pretty much by definition needs to be composed of 3 images of varying exposure. KEEP LOOKING!

Excellent!

This is one of the best photo filter/editing apps for landscape photos that I’ve come across. This photo does *not* do well with live subjects (people or animals) in my opinion. The only issue I’m having issues with right now is, I’m really in need of a “revert to original” option. If it’s here, I can’t find it - anywhere. (I wrote the company and they told me there is no “revert to original” option so you have to import the photo again if you want to start from scratch.) Other that that, this application is like buttah, baby! It’s sweet. Powerful and productive.
